Merry Christmas

Beyond all the lights and Christmas hype, do we still take time to stop and celebrate what Christmas is really about?

Everywhere I go, I see it. Santa Claus, the 8 tiny reindeer, flashing red and green lights, a celebration of what commercialism has made a secular holiday. I'm not saying it's wrong, however, it does take our eyes off of the real meaning of Christmas. We tend to get caught up in gift giving and decorating our houses and completely forget why we even have the Christmas season. So, this Christmas season, lets not forget the greatest gift of all: Jesus Christ and his saving grace. Merry Christmas!

Christmas Love

Silver bells
Singing in the snow
Children shouting of joys
I used to know
Beyond the lights and festivities
There's a deeper meaning I see
Beyond the toys and stories of St. Nick
There's something that means the world to me

Little baby Jesus
How could it be?
You came to earth
To save people like me
On that night in Bethlehem
We were given the chance
To be born again
For that I will always remember
Jesus put the Christ in Christmas

Snowy night
Visiting family and friends
Sharing by candlelight
We have so much to celebrate
Tell the story of ultimate love
A gift from God
Sent from above
It's something that means the world to me

Little baby Jesus
How could it be?
You came to earth
To save people like me
On that night in Bethlehem
We were given the chance
To be born again
For that I will always remember
Jesus put the Christ in Christmas

Beyond the lights
Beyond the gifts
Jesus saved us
Our souls he did lift
Let's not forget
Or push aside
The real meaning
We know inside
Jesus put the Christ in Christmas
