With their soulful voices and young looks, it's no wonder LaRue's popularity has taken off so tremendously since the release of "LaRue" in 2000.
LaRue is a talented brother-sister team. Natalie (19) and Phillip (21) both share the job of lead singer, often alternating from verse to verse of each song. In addition to vocals, Phillip also plays guitar.
Their style is mostly pop, but slightly softer. So, in other words, it would appeal to mostly anyone who absolutely adores, or even can just tolerate pop. With songs like Picture Frame, Theory of Flight, Fly, and Near to Me, their message is clearly God's love for us. Other songs, such as Someday, Katie, and Jaded, talk about love for a significant other. So, all in all, LaRue is a well rounded group, lyric-wise.
I strongly recommend listening to LaRue if you haven't already. By the time you finish listening to the first song, you'll either be hooked, or hate them, its as simple as that. As a group, I give LaRue 5 stars!
